About Oxbow Solar Farm

The Oxbow Solar Farm, formerly known as Ventress Solar, is located near Oxbow Lake in Ventress, Louisiana.  According to the Louisiana Economic Development, solar power expansion in Louisiana is trending above the national average.  This project will generate affordable, clean energy and reduce harmful greenhouse gas emissions. And, through corporate power purchase agreements, the Oxbow Solar project will help power McDonald’s and eBay’s US operations with solar energy.

Our Partnership with the Jumonville Family

Renewa worked closely with the Jumonville family throughout the development of Oxbow Solar.  We  supported this transformative project through a variety of different ways, including:

• Early Development Support:
  Renewa’s Co-CEO, Gage Mooring, and a team of Land Agents met with the Jumonville family during the project’s initial stages to discuss their vision and opportunities for collaboration.
• Construction Oversight:
  Renewa Land Agents conducted site visits to monitor the progress of the solar farm, ensuring that construction aligned with expectations and supported the family’s goals.
• Lease Revenue Partnership:
  Renewa partnered with the Jumonville family by purchasing a portion of their lease revenue, offering financial security and a shared stake in the project’s success.
• Celebrating the Project’s Completion:
  Renewa representatives attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Oxbow Solar Farm, joining the Jumonville family, JuraNex leadership, and local officials to mark this milestone for renewable energy in Louisiana.
